Senior Care Applicants

Provide senior care and companion care to adult clients in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Assist with regular exercises 
  • Companionship – card/ board games, discussions, reading and plain old fun 
  • Errands, grocery shopping and escorting the clients to appointments and activities 
  • Light housekeeping 
  • Meal preparation and help with feeding 
  • Medication Reminders

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years time experience in care giving required; CNA, GNA or HHA. 
  • Current CPR/ First aid certificate. 
  • Authorization to work in the US
  • Negative criminal conviction background check. 
  • Minimum of two positive references required
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given. 
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and empathy for the elderly

Child Care Applicants

Responsibilities

  • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children 
  • Plan and supervise the children’s activities 
  • Plan and prepare meals and bottles for, and feed, the children 
  • Change diapers and potty train the children 
  • Teach the children good social manners 
  • Play with the children, both indoors and outdoors 
  • Plan and lead educational activities, including reading, with the children 
  • Light housekeeping


Qualifications

  • High school graduate, some college preferred
  • Three years experience caring for children
  • Training in early childhood education preferred
  • First aid training and child and infant CPR
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. 
  • English proficiency 
  • Reliable, honest, and trustworthy; able to pass extensive background check
  • Physical ability to care for a young child 
  • Ability to plan, organize, and multitask with minimal supervision
