This can especially be true if you’ve been feeling hammered by things your loved one has said. Let her know that you just remembered a task you have to complete in another room or you need to make a phone call. If nothing else, go to the bathroom and close the door for a couple of minutes.

Bring in Others to Help More

Some elderly loved ones who have dementia are just angry about their situation and they take it out on the people that they love. You might find that bringing elderly care providers in allows your loved one to get the care that she needs and it gives you an isolating layer between the things that your loved one tends to say to you. You might even find that your loved one is nicer to her elderly care providers than she is to other people in her life.
